Trial week for the Spring Semester, 2011 commences January 17th and 19th at the Central Gym at SF starting at 7:30pm for both days.
Our trial is open to the general public and no experience is required. We only ask that you bring proper gym attire (shorts and t-shirt will suffice)
We look forward to seeing you there!
Thanks to Alan we may have some practice time at SFU before the tournament this week (and a couple before trial week)!
As long as the snow is not too bad we should be able to have the following:
Wed. Jan. 5 – East Gym – 7:30-9:30pm
Thurs. Jan. 6 – Central Gym (eastside) – 7:30-9:30pm
Mon. Jan. 10 – Central Gym (eastside) – 7:30-9:30pm
Wed. Jan. 12 – Central Gym (eastside) – 7:30-9:30pm

The 6th annual western intercolligate tournament is set for January 08, 2011 at SFU.
Please note that this tournament includes people not yet in bogu in their own division. Participants include Simon Fraser University (SFU), University of British Columbia (UBC), University of Victoria (UVic), and University of Washington (UW).
Time: 10am – 6pm
Eligibility: Members of your club (attending student status is NOT required)
Cost: free entry, bento and water estimated $10 CAD
Categories (adjusted based on numbers):
– beginners/nonbogu
– bogu nonkyu
– bogu 1-kyu
– shodan
– Nidan and up
– Teams (we have in the past organized big teams to maximize participation, we will do the same is time permits)
Schedule:
10 am opening ceremony & Kata demonstration
10:30 competition
4:30pm awards, godo keiko and clean up.
New Years Godokeiko (free practice) at Steveston. Please let David Chiu if you are attending by Christmas Eve (Decemeber 24).
From 1pm to 4:30pm.
